I Was Her Sunshine Before The Climate Change

Simeon Austin David Pangu
I used to be her sunshine, warm and bright,
A beacon of hope in the dark of night.
I chased away the clouds and brought her joy,
A constant source of happiness and pride.
But then, the winds of change began to blow,
Bringing with them a world she didn't know.
The temperatures rose and storms did too,
The once-blue skies now grey and askew.
I couldn't bring the sun back to her days,
As the effects of climate change took its place.
I felt so helpless, so far away,
Watching her struggle with the price we pay.
But I'll keep shining, I'll keep trying,
To bring a ray of hope when the sky is crying.
I'll be the light in the darkest hour,
A symbol of love, a symbol of power.
And maybe one day, when the world is healed,
And the sun shines bright again, as it once did, concealed,
I'll be the sunshine, warm and true,
A constant source of happiness for me and for you.
