I will always remember you

I remember the way your laughter filled the room,
the way your touch could chase away any gloom.
But now, it feels like a distant memory,
a bittersweet reminder of what used to be.
We were once so in sync, hearts beating as one,
but now we're strangers, our connection undone.
I try to hold on, grasp at fragments of the past,
but the more I reach, the more they slip away fast.
I thought our love would weather any storm,
but now I'm left standing in the aftermath, torn.
I wish I could turn back time, rewrite our story,
find a way to fix what's broken and restore our glory.
But reality speaks and whispers in my ear,
sometimes love fades, and that's what I fear.
So I'll cherish the memories, the laughter and the tears,
and hope that someday, the pain subsides and clears.
In the end, all we can do is move on,
learn from the past, and find a love that's strong.
But I'll always remember the love we had,
even though it ended, it wasn't all bad.
So as I close the chapter on our love's tale,
I'll hold onto the lessons, even if they make me frail.
And perhaps in the future, our paths may cross,
but for now, I'll find the strength to accept the loss.
