I remember mom, you have always held yourself so strong.
You raised six children on your own, we always knew in your arms we belonged.
Your hair was always curled and lips a rosey red.
Now you don't even remember how to make up your bed.
I'm so mad at myself for not spending more time with you.
Didn't realize this sickness was taking your mind to.
Alzheimers to dementia what a wasted way to go.
Your forgetting everything you were taught and things you used to know.
When I look at you now, it's not the mom that raised me.
Your so frail and weak, and scared all the time, even having a hard time to see.
You misplace the things in your room.
And you forgot how to groom.
Your hugs are not the same anymore.
I know in your mind there is a war.
Someday you won't even remember my name.
Every visit I make , I bring back memories and sometimes shame.
I love you mom and I will never forget your beautiful smile.
Now all you do is frown, you must of been some what like that as a child.
Your beautiful and never forget it okay..
You never have to worry because I will sit by your side every day.
I will hold your hand..
Even if you don't understand.
