I will wait

I keep my hope still in the moon
that it carries the weight of my love for you,
A love that grows with every passing day,
As I yearn and pray for you to come my way.
In this vast and lonely world we roam,
You are the only place I call my home.
I would cross oceans and climb mountains high,
Just to see the sparkles in your eyes.
But alas, our paths may never be aligned,
And my heart is heavy with the truth I find.
For destiny plays a cruel and twisted game,
Leaving us with nothing but longing and pain.
Yet still, my love for you remains unwavering,
A flame that burns, unyielding and unfaltering.
And though we may never touch or hold,
Know that your love has made me bold.
Bold enough to face the demons in my soul,
Bold enough to keep seeking, to stay whole.
For in your absence, I have discovered,
That true strength lies in the love we uncover.
So I will carry on, with hope in my heart,
Knowing that one day, we will no longer be apart.
And until that day comes, my love, I'll wait,
Patiently, for the moment when it's not too late.
