I'd rather be more alone than having a family that doesn't really know me
I'd rather be more alone than have a friend that takes days to reply
I'd rather be more alone if I knew you entering college was the end of our friendship
I'd rather be more alone than have a friend that doesn't know jesus
I'd rather be more alone than be conformed to the thing of the world just to fit in
I'd rather be more alone than changing myself to be liked by you
and in all these things I would rather do,
I'd rather be more alone than call a thousand people my friend and still feel lonely
if I would rather everything be done my own way
then wouldn't be I truly alone?
is that really my wish?
or do I just want to be heard
