*IF HE WERE HERE*
The world is engulfed in words,
World means the words,
World is in the words,
But if Jesus were here,
The words would mean the world.
Hypocrisy in the unborn,
The born imbibing the dowdy tales of the world,
The dead flooding the earth with tears,
The trees swing and dance in fear,
The world is embraced with the undying adoration of lust,
But if Jesus were here,
The world would still be held right its place.
Schools would be schools,
Churches would mean The Corinthians,
Spiritual leaders would be Paul,
And the believers would be a reflection,
An imitation of Job,
Children wouldn't love to stone,
But read the the story of Goliath,
Only if Jesus were here.
Only if Jesus were here
Agape would be the love,
Each time our faces would be up,
As we sing to the chords of David and dance,
There could be no one to judge,
But the Solomon's way could be preferred,
Only God would be enthroned,
If Jesus were here.
What if Jesus were here?
And the dumb could hear?
What if Jesus were here and the blind could see?
What if Jesus were here and the lame could walk?
I mean what if Jesus were here?
