If I Were My Only Saviour

If you were my god, the true saviour of my ill forgotten soul. Couldn't one dispute, through the lack of your presence, one could be surley forgiven, from some what miss given decisions, I was always driven to the unsinkable catalyst, the paradox to be my life.
I just want you to know, I'm fine here today in my time. Doesn't necessarily mean I'm not serving my sentence. I've been locked inside for quite some time, I started to lose my mind.
Only a mind as dimwitted as my own, could try to for warn the feelings that I refused to let be. It was a warning of true danger, especially now we know I am my only saviour.
Let that linger, let that settle, a moment alone in hindsight, to gather my thoughts, to adapt to new life, in light with wellness, high at night, it doesn't help when it makes me lose the fight.
But here I am at will, not mistaken for goodwill, but I'm sure won't foot the bill. I've no need for money, my disdain for this state of mind, is contrite now I've seen my time.
Someday soon I'll sit to rest, but until then I can only promise my best. With nothing else left, but my charming ways. I'll work myself back into the world, one step at a time. And in the end, I'll have what's mine.
