wrinkled and thin
where once it was smooth and tight
the battle of youth I'll never win
but still all the world is a beautiful sight
if I where old you would still make me feel young
if I where old these fingers would want to bend
I look at you and click my toung
as the old people do as there chairs they spend
if I where old I would miss the grass
where I used to play
but now I must be the old wrikled lass
I reach my rinkled fingers out and wish for the day
but if I where old I would be happy
if the words of the past whispers I would be fine
just to watch the red faced children play will make me sappy
and in the evening with my husband I will dine
yes if I where old I will always be happy if I had you
I would still blush when you peck my cheek
and I will still feel young when your fingers touch me like the morning dew
you give me the youth that even in youth I seek
oh if only I where old
