You just see a man
You might know his name
He's doing all he can
Everyday is just the same
He has walked for miles
Yet you see him smile
He laughs with sincerity
But you don't know his story
If you know what he's been through
His life turned upside down
One moment he flew
The next he hit the ground
He's been trying ever since
To get back on his feet
Life isn't very nice
Recovery is hard after defeat
I saw him standing on the street
Trying to get something to eat
Anything will do
Sir may the Lord guide you
And when he smiled
I saw tears in his eyes
In that moment I realised
Pain is something you can't disguise
Since that day my life was changed
And I realise it could be me
A season's change
Can bring me to my knee
I still cry for that man
And I do all I possibly can
A little bit can do so much
This is why I don't judge
