Illusions in my Sleep

In slumber's grasp, illusions dance, bewitching nights unfold,
In shadows deep, where terrors creep, nightmares take their hold.
Within my mind, a twisting maze, my fears start to ignite,
Phantasmal scenes, like shattered dreams, unwinding in the night.
A haunting air, a chilling gust, each specter takes its place,
Unveiling sights, in moonlit nights, where darkness leaves no trace.
Illusions dance, reality's sway, confusion ripples through,
Perception skewed, my mind imbued, with nightmares twisted true.
Are these mere tricks, my mind plays on, or glimpses of a truth,
A mirror cracked, reality lacked, in slumber's transient booth?
For as I wake, the echoes fade, reality asserts its reign,
Yet traces stay, like whispers play, in memory's domain.
The mind, a stage for illusions grand, a theatre masked in shade,
Where nightmares roam, and dreams find home, their secrets unrestrained.
So dance, illusions, in my sleep, for I shall not succumb,
For light shall rise, where darkness lies, till morning's rays are sung.
