I'm alone(falling in love with my ceiling)

I never thought I would fall in love
with something so ordinary, so plain.
But as I lay in bed, staring up,
I found myself enamored by my ceiling.
Its pristine surface, a blank canvas,
Just waiting to be filled with imagination.
I began to notice the nuances,
The subtle imperfections that made it unique.
The way the light danced upon it,
Or how it seemed to breathe with each passing breeze.
I found myself lost in its simplicity,
And yet, it held a mysterious beauty.
As I lay there, night after night,
I felt a growing connection to my ceiling.
It was more than just a surface above me,
It was a part of my daily routine.
And though others may scoff and laugh,
At my love for something so mundane,
I know that in my heart of hearts,
My ceiling will always hold a special place.
Im alone, sad that I'm seen as pathetic
To fall in love with something so simplistic
I can't keep doing this to myself no matter how poetic
Yet it feels as though depression is anesthetic
