I was a rock n' roller, I was a father, I chose the fast lane and it took my life away.
On a stormy night in March is when I had to pay.
The last days of my life, I looked back to what I had,
And at age 49, I lie in this bed withering away, please don't be sad.
I'm going to a place where Angel's guide you and everything is at ease.
Hey dad I am coming home,
Hey dad I just want to rest in peace.
I long for the good old days when life wasn't so complicated and it was all about fun.
I remember sitting about with dad fishing, and then the day was done.
Things back then were so easy,
I could have chosen a different path, but dad you left me, and life was never the same again.
You were like my best friend,
Sitting in that boat again felt empty and my heart cried heavily.
So dad I am coming home to see you,
I am tired and weak,
With my last words of how much I miss you, I do speak.
Dad, i am coming home to finally be with you.
My tired body needs to rest, in peace I shall hope that you would want me to.
With my last words and my last breath I whisper " I miss you."
