I'm coming home.. I was a rock n roller, I was a father I chose the fast lanes…

I'm coming home..
I was a rock n roller, I was a father
I chose the fast lanes and it took my life away.
On a stormy night in March is when I had to pay.

The last days of my life, I looked back at what I could of had
And at age 49 I lie in a bed withering away, please don't be sad.

I'm going away to a place where angels guide you and everything is at ease.
Hey dad ...I'm coming home
Hey dad...I just want to rest in peace.

I long for those good old days where life wasn't complicated and it was all about fun.
I remember sitting about with dad fishing and then the day was done.

Things back then we're so easy, I could have chosen a different path...
But dad you left me, and life was never the same.
Sitting in that boat felt empty and my heart cried heavily
So dad I'm coming home to see you, I'm tired and weak and I need to rest.
To have a father like you, I felt blessed.
So dad I'm coming home to rest.
