Everyday
She wakes up
To her broken mirror
To yesterday's tears
She wipes of all the blood
From the fresh scars
Her dark eyes she tries her best to cover them up
A rainbow of pills to break her fast
As her mother drinks up her last glass
Of dignity and last night's fun kisses her and leaves.....
Everyday
On the bus he sits at the corner
As he gets lost
In the thoughts and the fears
That fill his mind
Powder nose
To keep him calm
And to numb the punches because the can't run
Nicotine for three please
To stop the pain
Everyday
I wake up
Trying to tell myself I'm good enough
Though the scale and the mirror say otherwise
It's okay I'm alright
So his he
So is she
And for the life of me I
Told this knife
To take it's time
His bullet took his so fast
And the pills left a trace she failed to mask
All these things spelt the words they failed to write
And so I'm the full stop
My pen is the knife
He says
She says
I say
I'M FINE
