"I'm gonna listen to that feeling!"

How I'm afraid of going on that bus
Filled with racist
Who want to turn me to dust
Being a civil rights activist
They hate me because I'm black
And I won't let them have their way
Me they want to attack
They look out for me everyday
For me they have detestation
Me they want to hang
Waiting for me at the station
"That negro man is gonna be dead" I heard them sang
I live near the station
It is a good thing I heard them singing in my bed
I decided not to take the bus transportation
If I had not decided this by now I would have been dead
Many Caucasians are puzzled how I'm not dead by now
The fact that I'm alive makes them sad
Me getting away, they just don't know how
Thinking of this makes me glad
For what they don't know, is that God protected me all along
The song they wrote about me, was in vain
Now I have a better song
Their hatred has not messed up my brain
I still get a warning inside, especially in the car
In certain cases
I should stay far
From certain places
I believe I'm not afraid in a bad way, but good
This fear oddly keeps me safe
And lets me be at places, I should
Making me know which Caucasian person, not to chafe
For some reason this fear is encouraging me not to take that bus
I want to figure out, though, if this is fear or faith
Indeed there people on that bus, I don't trust
Whatever it is, if I listen, it will just give me a good fate
Dedicated to ,all the African Americans in the past, who fought to live, to give many African Americans and other Afro Nationals in the world
the freedom in America, they have now.
