I'm Missing You
I'm missing you so,
These tears just seem to flow,
Why won't they stop,
It's like a flood,
I never wanted you to go,
But you went so I have cope,
This isn't fair,
Oh, how dare he take you when I needed you the most,
God, why?
Why then?
I was so young,
And he was my only shield 🛡,
I thought you loved me,
Heavenly father,
But now I'm starting to wonder,
Nah, you still love me,
It was just his time,
But why so young?
Oh I'm missing you so!
You were my favorite parent,
Funny and charming,
Were you,
You made people laugh,
Especially me,
And you made me sometimes pee my pants,
From tickling me 😆,
Oh how I'm missing you,
Do you remember pushing me on the swings?
Or letting me sit in your lap on the swings,
And we'd swing so high we'd kick the trees?
And can't forget Jonah's favorite tire swing,
that no longer exists!
He loved that thing!
He'd always want you to do a "banana split!"
Oh and definitely can't forget,
The mary-go-round,
Where you'd push us round and round,
So fast that my head would be spinning for several minutes,
Even after it was done going rounds 😆,
Oh how I'm missing you!
I remember mom telling you,
"No South Park, Beavis and Butthead or any shows like that!"
And you'd let us watch them anyway,
That's what cool parents do 😎,
You were always so cool, calm and collected!
Oh how I'm missing you!
Till this day,
I sit and wonder,
If you were still alive,
Would I have had a decent childhood?
Would I have been able to go outside and play?
I love you daddy,
And I miss you,
Please stop crying 😢,
I'll be okay,
I know that's why it's raining,
I'll be strong today!
