My parents asked me what's wrong
I dont have that to tell them
The truth is I'm dying from the inside
My brain has been wired
Wired to try its hardest to kill me
My parents picked up on my hesitation
But I deny anything's wrong
I stood straight
Gave them my best fake smile
And said
I'm just tired
They didn't know but I did
I knew that was going to be an excuse
An excuse to
Lay in bed all day
To cry out of "exhaustion"
To always wear long sleeve sweatshirts
I met my future fiance
I told him
I'm just tired
He didn't believe it
I didn't hurt myself after that
Not physically anyways
Mentally I'm still hurt
And truth is
My depression is so bad
I can't sleep well
So now I am tired
But I'm not just tired
I'm close to ending it
