Hope is a feeling that we all can know
A glimmer of light that can help us grow
In moments of darkness, it guides us through
And gives us the courage to see challenges anew
As an atheist, I may not believe
In a divine intervention that can relieve
But I hold on to hope in a different way
As a force that inspires us to seize the day
I hope that together we can strive
To build a better world and make it thrive
With empathy and reason as our guide
We can tackle big problems that we cannot hide
Hope is a call to action, not just a dream
It's a way of thinking that's not as it may seem
For atheists, it's the belief that we can do good
And make a positive impact in the neighborhood
So let us hold on to hope, no matter what
For it's what drives us forward and keeps us up
With our human spirit and perseverance so strong
We can overcome challenges and right what's wrong.
