Im Ready
I'm content I'm ready, my minds made up my nerves those shaking are steady, What is so special about this life that we live, and what is the purpose when pain is all that life gives, Do we live in hopes that maybe tomorrow is filled with joy not pitiful sorrow, What is the meaning to keep on believing in a world filled with people deceiving, Saying words like I care but there presence is found nowhere love you're not receiving, Are you amongst the ones that lay down at night and there mind is knowing, That they are not good enough to receive the comfort that others are showing, You can only watch as the world passes you by, And question your existence and doubt the word try, And the biggest question you have is simply why why, Why go on in a world so wrong knowing that you do not belong, The world is dreary and bleak, I write these poems because my voice is not heard when I speak, The people who say they are family and the others that say there a friend to me, Are usually the ones to stab me in my back relentlessly, How many of you know the man behind these words, And how many of you are life's true players using your tongue like a sword, Cutting and stabbing piercing one another, Refusing to take the time to stop and lift up a fallen brother, How many people lay asleep in there grave, Only remembered as the ones God chose not to save, And how many know what it feels like to be a slave, You see I am held captive here each and every day, Every morning I'm filled with fear if I step outside these four walls, and choose to try to stand up proud and tall, Will I still be lost and forgot? A victim to the word cannot, A slave to the world a peice of property life bought, But I choose today not to lose, To you I have nothing to prove,I am Who I am and I am NOT going to feel again your pain, One day you will wake up and miss me but you never took the time to know my name, And that my fellow brethren is what I call a shame.
