Imagination after Science

What if science stopped,
And imagination began?
A world without facts,
Only stories to spin.
No more data or proof,
Just dreams to explore.
A place where poets reign,
And scientists no more.
But wait, did they not overlap,
Those poets and those men?
The ones who pushed limits,
And found new ways to bend.
Perhaps they were both,
Scientist and poet in one.
Using logic and vision,
Until the answer was spun.
For is not imagination,
The fuel that drives us all?
To see beyond what's known,
And answer the unknown's call.
So let us not separate,
Science and poetry's art.
But rather embrace both,
And let imagination start.
For it's in the merging,
That greatness can be found.
And a new world of wonder,
Can be spread all around.
Let the scientists dream,
And the poets study too.
For together they'll reach,
What alone they never knew.
And in this world of magic,
Where logic meets the rhyme.
Perpetual motion may not be,
But inspiration is divine.
Let us celebrate,
The union of science and art.
For when they come together,
The possibilities start.
