IMAGINE
The sun shuts down
Suddenly.
The winds stop blowing,
Out of nowhere.
Strange, right?
But that’s exactly how it felt
When you left.
One day, you were everything.
The next, you were nowhere.
Not a single word.
Not a hint of goodbye.
Like I never mattered.
Like I was just a passing scene
In the movie of your life.
Did it not cross your mind?
That I was sitting there,
Eyes glued to my phone,
Hoping you'd say something
Anything.
Even if it hurt.
Even if it ended us.
At least then, I would’ve known.
But you?
You left me with questions
That scream louder in the silence.
Was it something I said?
Was I too much?
Or was I never enough?
My phone became a ghost,
Haunted by your silence.
Every vibration that wasn’t you
Mocked me.
Every message that wasn’t yours
Felt like betrayal.
I still wonder
Did I ever cross your mind after you left?
Did you miss me, even for a second?
Or was I only holding onto
A version of you
That never really existed?
Because if you had felt
Even a fraction of what I did,
You never would’ve left like that.
Not without a word.
Not without explaining.
You ended a story
I was still writing.
And now all I hold
Are half written pages,
And a collection of memories
That still bleed through my pages.
