A

In the moment

It happened just now, it just now happened.
A life was lost, guns and cars went ablaze
A man was shot, a man was killed.
I noticed the ruckus, I noticed him.
(I Fear For Us All)
I knew him not, nor did I see
I heard the shots, and the screams
A life was lost, a man is no more.
It happened just now, now
my conscious feels sore.
I will be a burden to the plea
Guns and roses, hand-in-hand
Blood was spilled and roses bleed
Now pedals fall to the ground, Slowly,
and time matters no more.
They fall and fall, they are unattached.
Stripped from life, they wave
and feather aimlessly to the ground.
They are looking for shelter, looking for peace.
Death they have been granted,
such a peaceful place to sleep.
The man now sleeps
among black & red pedals.
Red decorates the scene,
from head to toe, he is covered
Red stains the ground,
marking an enzyme of life
Roses fell, and the man bleeds no more.
No rhyme, no rhythm, he sleeps and sleeps
Time is not of the essence, now his soul is free.
Choice; he had no choice
People speak, people gather
A restless soul has climbed the ladder
From place to place we shall wander
Eternal life, or eternal death tearing asunder.
Stained water flows, marking the innocence.
Now we should witness his eternal life.
The curtain closes, people flee
Oh yes it’s time for a change,
& Reality agrees.
