In The Silence

Take my silences, for words can't convey,
The pain that I feel, each and every day.
It's not that I hate, or bear any ill heart,
But it's best we part ways, it's time to depart.
Don't text me with greetings, or call to inquire,
If I'm doing alright, or if I aspire.
To smile once again, to laugh and to live,
Just grant me this solitude, it's all I ask you to give.
Allow me to grieve, in my own quiet space,
To navigate sorrow, at my own pace.
I yearn for the solace, the quiet, the calm,
In the silence, I find a much-needed balm.
I just want to be, alone in my mind,
To heal and to hope, to seek and to find.
In the quiet, I'll find strength, in solitude, I'll cope
In the silence, the echoes of pain will cease.
So accept my silences, let me be,
In the quiet, I'll find a way to be free.
It's not a goodbye, just a pause, a restart,
In the silence, I'll mend my broken heart.
