Infinite Conversation

The sea whispers to the shore,
In waves that carry secrets old,
A murmured tale of depth and more,
In liquid silver and midnight gold.

Each wave, a gentle, grasping hand,
That reaches out, then pulls away,
Leaving stories upon the sand,
Only to steal them back with day.

In this ceaseless give and take,
The sea converses with the land,
In roars and sighs, it speaks awake,
A dialogue too deep to understand.
