Inflaming Our Fears

Misunderstandings breed a fiery storm
Fueling the flames of anger,
Through words misunderstood, resentment comes into play
Bickering and quarrels
Tempers collide, in the battlefield of words,
Inflicting wounds so deep, where forgiveness seldom occurs.
Each syllable spoken, stirs resentment anew,
Inflaming the hurt, spreading bitterness through and through.
Reason fades away, as fury takes its hold,
Engulfed in rage's embrace, a story yet untold.
Misunderstandings poison our communication,
Leaving no room for compassion, only frustration.
Yet, if we could pause, and listen with open ears,
Peel the layers of resentment, and conquer our deepest fears.
