Her eyelids are heavy but sleep has decided not to grace her with his presence.
She tosses and turns to her side but
Just when she was hopeful, sleep runs to go hide.
She thinks out loud, "Do I have to go through this every night?".
Sleep answers from a distance, "Yes, that's right".
She lays wide awake facing the ceiling
Thinking about what life really is and it's meaning.
Time passes gradually but she doesn't notice the sunrise.
She stares at her clock; her facial expression depicts surprise.
A new day has begun
Activities set but she's ready for none.
She thinks out loud, "Will tonight be the same?".
Sleep answers from a distance, "Yes, so do not call my name".
