Exploring the unexplored
A plethora of possibilities lie ahead
Down the dark cave hidden from the people above
Cold and sterling with its damp touch
Many routes can be seen ahead
Where they lead is a mystery to the explorer
Time to Map out this newly found extension of the known world
Right or left, I feel a tingle egging me to the left
An abnormality to my regular routine of right is always right
Deeper, colder, the allocation of water makes it seem more claustrophobic
Denser in a terrifyingly distinct way
I need to continue
Turning back now would hurt my pride
As an explorer I must continue on no matter the danger
My survival instinct is screaming for me to turn around
Conflicting with my supernatural instinct of seeking the unknown
Something extraordinary lies ahead the tight foyer beyond
My sixth sense has surpassed the verbose barrage of my survival instinct
One arm through the tight crevasse
I can wiggle my arm freely on the other side
Time to put my left leg through
It is tight, my thigh scrapes against the cold rock, snagging my pants
Now to wriggle my scrawny body through
This isn't so bad, I can fit
As this thought remains, a flash of light takes my vision for a second
Then the sound of rumbling earth tears my eardrums
I can feel the rocks shifting with my body inbetween them
The only way to leave unscathed is to dive
A hole of water lies just beneath
Before I can process anything I'm already submerged
The sound of rocks collapsing leads me to believe the worse
I quickly swim to the surface
Only to be blocked off by solid masses of black objects
My eyes spread wide as my air is running out
I put all my strength into moving these rocks hindering my survival
To no avail, I'm too weak for the mass to move
Knowing all too well of my drowning fate
I allow my body to sink and become one with the cave
Sinking slowly, my conciousness begins to cloud as my air runs out
I'm about to convulse out of instinct
It has begun, I can't stop this feeling of cold water infiltrating my lungs
As I struggle for air no where to be found
A jewel producing its own light shows before me
My survival instinct ceases and my sixth sense kicks in fully
This is the moment I've been looking for my entire life
On death's door I found the unknown of all unknown
A treasure beyond comprehension, deep within the depths of despair
I can finally die without feeling my life was a waste
As my thoughts fade the jewel expands
Thrusting light around me
My body warms up and...
I evade the clutches of death
