In shadows deep where sorrow's whispers wail,
No incentives to guide this wretched soul,
A tempest brews, my spirit worn and frail,
Integrity's pure light remains my goal.
No gleaming prize, no treasures to entice,
No golden promise veiled in sweet deceit,
Yet amidst darkness where lost dreams suffice,
Integrity's bright torch shall not retreat.
For riches fade, like stars that cease to gleam,
And fleeting glory fades beneath life's hand,
But I, with steadfast heart and silent scream,
Shall honor truth, where others barely stand.
No worldly gain, no laurel wreaths I'll wear,
Yet my sad soul finds solace in despair.
