'I remember you.'
In an instant the imaginary barrier that neatly kept his past and present lives separated was gone. The memories and experiences unfurled within his psyche, causing his body to tremble with emotion.
It was all so fascinating, as the chain of events unfolded within his minds eye. He saw every moment he had spent with her. The moment they met, first kiss, her death, his death, it was all there. Then, he remembered being born again, seeing her…again.
'Do you…remember me?'
Her face showed no expression, at first, then confusion, then concern.
'Are you ok?' She asked.
His brain finally stopped whirling and the pain set in. 'Ohh...oowwwwe!' He reached for the side of his head above his left ear. A trickle of blood. 'What happened?'
'The sign for my shop, it fell on you as you were walking by.' She bit her lip. 'I've never met you before though, you sure You're ok?'
He looked at her in amazement, the sunlight bounced off her raven hair. Her skin was radiant and smooth with just a tint of rose in her cheeks. Her eyes resembled the dark, crisp, blue waters of the northern ocean. She looked just they way he remembered her. Not a single hair out of place.
'More than alright,' he couldnt help but chuckle when their eyes met, 'Sometimes fates got a funny way of speaking.'
She laughed too, and brushed the hair back from her face just as she had a thousand times before.
'You think maybe, since your sign clobbered me and all, you'd like to grab coffee sometime?'
She laughed again, 'We dont even know each others names.'
'We'll have time for that later, I promise.' He said.
