Is this really what love is?
I stare at my wall in hope for remorse
Thinking of things God wouldn't have thought
Why are we brought up with delusional illusions
The illustrations take me out of precipitation
I like liking but love is trembling
I fear if they look hard enough they might see me breaking
Your thoughts of love are different from mine
I was brought up with power of fists and complicated rhymes
Yours is mostly different from mine
If you know what I'm saying, damn I apologise
Nothing much has changed
Vocals bigger than words ring round
I fear I might not know how to love like I should
I remember when I realised I'm not far off
The same fate I can see if I look hard enough
Is this really what love is?
I can't stand this
I can't be this
Forgive, forget, but not my refusal
My mother's blood runs deep through my veins
I scare myself when I act the same
Though I'm still staring at this wall
I'm scared when I love her blood runs deeper
I can't be the same as an alcoholic geezer
Do you know what I'm saying?
Or am I speaking riddles
Maybe if I shout abit clearer
I can't be the same as my givers
I was young but I still remember what I shouldn't say
When I close my eye's nightmares come out to play
My father's fists were so much brutal
Now you wouldn't think twice, but my old man's life has become the devil's refusal
My mother, however lives not much longer
She's alive and well, not much longer
Her bottle is a bestfriend for my dear old mother
It's hard to remember the last time she was sober
Is this really what love is?
