In solitude, I find my peace,
Away from those who bring me grief.
I isolate myself from their strife,
To protect the happiness in my life.
So I retreat to my sanctuary,
Where I can be free and extraordinary.
In isolation, I find clarity,
A chance to reflect on my own reality.
I build walls around my heart and mind,
To keep out the negativity that's unkind.
I choose to surround myself with love,
With those who lift me up and make me feel above.
For life is too short to waste on those who bring me down,
So I'll isolate myself from them, without a frown.
