They had become friends
From the day she entered the school, a new student.
Making sure both had good dividends,
None had an embarrassing dent.
As time progressed,
They became even closer.
It was purely expressed,
They both had clean dossiers.
Her smile was his concern,
His issues, of great importance to her.
The importance she attached was always tern,
Coming forth like a flood in maximum power.
When he had issues,
He would run to this damsel.
Sometimes, she would require tissues
Before proceeding to give him counsel.
For his words,
Seemed too heavy on her fragile heart,
Feeling like a thousand stabs of numerous swords.
The feeling was always tart.
But she never broke,
Rather she seemed to get strengthened
After every session they spoke.
Always seemed brightened.
She grew to become the only human
He could trust with his felt pains.
She was the only one whose advice he could never ban.
She helped him, his sanity to maintain.
A shoulder to cry on,
She was always there to help him keep up
So that the victory was won,
She helped carry his cup.
Along the line,
She overtakes him indeed.
But with this development, she is not fine
And so takes it upon herself to bring him up to speed
Doing everything within her power
To make this possible,
She in conjunction with God become his strong tower
All the way, they go with him through his crucible
Vict0ry is brought him
After a while,
His sadness is given a trim.
Bringing him his long-awaited smile
They move on with each other
Always concerned about the other’s welfare
Doing one thing to their problems, “smother”
Showing each other so much care
He feels bad
That he may not be able to assure her the best
The feeling is like his heart is been thrust with a gad
The pain is not one that brings fest
But she cares less
About this case.
To her, he is the king in this life’s game of chess
Whatever the issue may be, it is but a rase
She sees a bigger him
Who she admires
One with potentials to the brim
But he sees himself as one who soon retires
Hence he asks her
To go find someone else
Who would not, with problems, make her bitter
But she rebuffs this as false
Saying no one makes her more satisfied
Than this young man she is looking at
You are man who is well-edified
You don’t just see that
I’m here for that reason
To make you see who you truly are
Break out of that misconception-prison
Because you are a star
And I will be here
Through the entire process
I ain’t going anywhere
I’ll not leave you in this mess
But there are…
No buts dear
You are rare
And your pain, you shouldn’t solely bear
But there are lot others who have more merit
Of this attention,
Of your pleasurable ambit
Given me in a very large portion
Listen
I know there are others out there
Whose life, right now, more than yours, glisten
But I don’t give a damn here
Because I know
You are much better than them for me
It’s not the man that’s low
I see
But someone with a big heart
A big vision
In his cart
Given him by divine provision
It is this man I want & need
All the others can go find some other person
I’m prepared to stay & nurture that seed,
That planted mustard seed until its harvest season
