Tomorrow is Halloween, therefore
Another year of trick or treating
Children dress up, travel door to door
A warm friendly voice they'll be greeting
Superheros, monsters, ghouls and ghosts
Some costumes are quite a sight
Princesses, cartoon characters the kids boast
Detailed makeup so real it will cause a fright
Collecting chocolate and assorted candy
In their sack the goodies all go
Chips, and cookies, apples are quite dandy
Eating too much of it and the stomach will know
Adults gather together for entertaining parties
To drink alcohol and play games
Some record the events of the unfortunate follies
In the future they can look back and laugh in shame
