Do you ever sit and stare at the
corner of the room?
And watch as a shadow seems to move,
Or hear a soft whisper in your ear,
Of words lost
through the years,
Something brushes my shoulder and I turn around in fright,
Of course nothing is there,
Or nothing I can see with mortal
Sight,
Little footsteps wake me
from sleep,
They rush around the hallway
But there is no one here but me,
With eyes wide open and my skin so cold,
I pull the blankets over my head and wait for morning to unfold.
