Judgement

After days of unending penance,
I walked out with my head held high,
the liberty pouring into my every sense,
with pride and relief I breathed a sigh.
A new beginning to a wasted life,
a new being emerged from that prison,
no more domineering, no more strife,
a new drive, an aim to achieve; a vision.
Yet the people ran away from me,
it was like my punishment hadn't ended,
I was shunned by all I could see,
None stood by me, none defended.
What was my crime they asked?
Typical of them to seek my sins and crime,
But this is their lesson now and their task,
For all of them have sinned although sublime,
Judge me all u want and please urself,
When u point a finger at me u point four at urself.
