Five in the morning
Birds wide awake
Singing their lovely songs
Which only they could make
A sprinkler running
Across the street
The grass needs the water
Since we've had so much heat
A random vehicle
Then a second one
I wonder where they go
Early before we see the sun
It's so nice now
Out at this time
Clears the mind from
The previous days grind
I have my coffee
Music as well
I think it would be very nice
If all the time was this swell
