Just a Scarf

Just a Scarf
She said at a glance
While she put on her makeup
And Smiled a little smile
For a chance
I swore we would make up
I thought it was alright
That everything would be better
By the dead center
Of midnight
In our dreams
We would reminisce
Of the good we had had
And wake up to bliss
By my steady, clever hand
But dreams dont often work in such ways
I was blue to be had
When i awoke to solitude
And a coat wrack with empty hands
Just a Scarf
She quirked
With a tall tale to be had
A long story elsewhere from here...
Was a story worth not looking back
And I'm back...
Longing for a miss
The cold omen coming in tact
