Since December 23rd
I've been creating tasty meals
Thick rich stick to your ribs
A food with stomach appeal,
I began with Veggie Beef and Pork
Went on to Beans and franks
The I made a Beef and rice
So far earning praise and thanks,
Last night I cooked spilt peas
Let it set until early this morn
Adding red pepper and tomato
Many bellies will not scorn,
For New Years I going traditional
Blackeye peas served with
Collards, peas, carrots with cornbread
I feel blessed that I can give,
I care not for the term "phobia"
I care not where you hale from or creed
I'm happy to fill ones belly
With the nutrient they need,
All through twenty twenty
As long as there's a true need
I'll go to Food Pantries for food
Then many empty bellies I'll feed,
So take your foolish pride
Leave it far outside my door
For once you pull the wrong card
I'll feed your stupidity no more.
