K-12

I once was a girl,
perfect as all hell,
happy and all swell,
till the day that I fell.
I was a bright young girl,
who loved helping others.
I was always on the run,
to help with my mother.
Then when I reached 7th grade,
things started to change.
I decided that I was transgender,
and I knew this game.
The game of life,
where I cant come out,
because my peers wouldn't let me.
I just wanted to shout.
But when I reached 11th grade.
I had the courage to come out.
To my surprise,
I didn't have to shout.
Family, teachers, and friends,
accepted me as trans.
Each and every one of them,
reached out and held my hand.
Now I'm a senior,
as masculine as I can be.
I just wish my family,
would let me have surgery.
But I have to wait to start T,
then I can start the full transition,
and I can finally be me.
