words I once heard in my youth
through nights of a troubled heart
I laid bare to the nakedness of my soul.
How I walked with you,
oh voice beyond thoughts

Why would you say these words to me
daily, I would scream
in my search for understanding
you were so near
yet so far from me.

beyond my mouth
to reseses of my heart
longing wishes me to be more
in my need to be less,
you searched for me.

I will remember you.
for life and death wills,
the simplicity of Truth.
