I stared death in the eye
And I'm not afraid to die
My whole body turned cold
I saw the heavens unfold
Right before my eyes
I saw demons in disguise
Acting like heavenly beings
I even heard them sing
But amidst all this chaos
I heard one distinct voice
Telling me to make a choice
I still remember how it was
I had nothing to live for
Death was the best way
But standing there at the door
I heard, "you can't stay"
I looked and saw so much light
Diminishing the dark of night
He took my hand and lead the way
He said it's all gonna be okay
More than nine months later
My life keeps getting better
My time is forever in God's hands
Only now I truly understand
Death has no hold on me
God planned my every step
Sometimes I may not see
But my life's forever kept
