Kind of Melted

Five figures
Placed on the table
A little wobble
Not feeling very stable
What happened
To the true end
Of our story
It's all
Sort of lost It's shine
And all its glory
You and me
Set finally free
If you see
Wouldn't you agree
I kind of melted
Into your heart
With the words
You spoke
Tore me apart
Nobody is perfect
That's sure indeed
The moment
That caused my scars
My heart
Left wide open
I let
I let my heart bleed
My heart beats
Just for a moment
The moment
I took my first breath
The laugh I make
The moment
Of your picture I took
The older I get
The moment
Grows that much closer
I smile
Want to say
I love you
To have you
Forever as mine
Life we share together
Now nothing
It's all gone
The moment
Time caught me
From behind
Here I lie
To my last breath
Thank you Lord
For the
Moment I lived
And I lived
I surely did
I had what I didn't need
Sold my integrity
My self dignity
Felt I wasn't
Worth a penny
All for that
Moment of glory
Going back
Into the future
I don't see myself there
I've lived
I've loved
But now it feels
That it wasn't enough
Because that one
That got away
Was the one
Who should've stayed
