For so long I have lived in delusion,
In a one man's island,
Held captive by my thoughts,
Deceived!
To wait for my lucky day,
Brainwashed!
To take a big spoon and eat whatever
life feeds me,
But now I am awake, back to reality,
I have decided:-
Decided to move,
To let go of all inhibitors, regardless of the pain.
Knowledge is the power I need to propel me,
He will support me so I don't fall 'cause
unlike the others, he will never abandon me.
I'll bag everything I need:-
Determination, focus, positivity,
fixate at the horizon,
on the beam of light in the future that fill my heart
with an ounce of hope.
Primed to quench my thirst for excellence,
without haste I'll move a step at a time,
'cause every stride gets me closer to the terminal.
The voices I will subtract,
My faith I will multiply,
Hope I will add,
My effort I will divide,
All in the name of seeking knowledge,
'cause knowledge is power.
