Known

~At the crack of dawn they arrived
The chilly cold morning dared to survive
Some four, others five
On empty stomachs some stood
Others sitted, the rest stood
The sun rose at us it stared
Clouds gathered, dark and brown, made us scared
Full of hope, drowned in chatter
To them thought we did matter
Made to queue, they thought we would be few
What went on inside no one knew
The list was out, all this while, we were out
The bulls scrambled with the calves for what was left
Overpowered home others went
Some chose to stay, softly they did pray
Prayed for June to come before May
In the end we all had the same thing to say
