LA David’s Story

From fields to battlefields,
Comes a story of Hero's,
Fighting to be apart of an American tapestry,
Clothes of pauper's,
to wearing uniforms forever idolized by all races as majesties,
From Boston we carried Crispus Attucks to slave gladly,
For he died free and for country,
To LA David loss in Niger tragedy,
To be more profound,
In conflicts black soldiers always stood so sound,
Well before equal rights were given,
Tied to the whipping post, beat to glory,
To not fall down for sake of your people's cause is moral of Tuskegee's story,
You should only take a knee,
Because they were murder in groves after World War in lynchings, Tulsa, denied respect,
Don't let the hate break thy neck,
Nor will could have just quit giving our son's to service with that but that black will to serve still stands
Thank you for taken lash so others may stand, serving with extra hurdles than life and death and not being seen fairly,
Squaring the line to enlist,
We give our best,
Boys becoming men in opposition of the best of the best,
Before best was tested as a whole,
Supplying blood and souls,
Forgetting indignity,
In race and rank,
To once have a drink in foreign lands with fellowman got officers arrested,
But they still stood through fire and laid down on the wire,
That's the America's essence in stride,
Christian lesson's applied,
Turning the other cheek,
Because that's what the Bible and country taught us, US military stood civil war to today for freedom in hire,
So we bared fire for 40 acres for M.G.I.B,
Those keys to freedom in our country,
Sacrifice, duty, honor, and democracy,
So a slave fought to be free, and protect oppressions home, willingly, that actions worthy of a crown of king,
The Buffalo solider, got Tuskegee wings,
Through valor and gunfire,
Type of story Americans admire, desire,
But still for image, legacy, and heritage,
Everyday words, and action is held higher for ones tactical survival,
A brother never forgotten,
Not what you choose for self, but a choice made to have options,
Service gave life, freedom from title of nigger,
To be and live as men,
And be judge by content of hearts not by color of skin,
He knew what he chose in enlisting time after time, War after war again,
To stand as an idol to admire, warrior, and American,
Place his body on his horse for the load he carried was great,
To study war no more, and have peace with our advaserary,
But for the ones left behind,
Take care in the story you sharing,
For it is for the visage of kings and kingdom,
We marched with the colors you carry,
Not for the ill console of a soldier displayed to your civilian family,
But the console of having an absent king in the rearing of the king your spouse carried,
Was unnecessary,
To hee a kingdom is in tatters,
Matters not for political propaganda or party rattles,
For the many Fatherless kingdoms of black communities, to have a King in Castle is half the battle,
So to our Queen,
Pardon the obsenity, but we can't fathom depths of your loss, and we honor thy king,
For his story is brief chapter but forever in our hearts,
And we will shore up your kingdom,
As you venture the uncharted dark,
We will light candles when in the endless nights you are weak at heart,
Until he meets you in the dark,
Deepest sympathy from our hearts,
He was a warrior like all before thee,
And from Crispus Attucks to He... We never forget the America he gave all in serving,
May his story never be forgotten, all hail a King.
