I sit here,
Starting again on the front cover
A book long overdue
Drawn on now, so long
As I have had you.
Pages turned and torn
So long as i have adorned
Your hidden gems I found
Long ago, beneath your "depth."
I recirculate the words round and again
Underneath my breath
I whisper yearnings still, i long to beget
Twisting, twiddling, dog-eared folds
I must be dreaming
Losing the soundness of mind
Playing this story unending
The last few pages are calling
It's sad but it's all i can do
Not to make haste now
.
I read...
Too much...
.
What was forever is now history
I had not for all else, but to be imploring
All the more, I delved straight into the story
With no one else i could share you to
I'm trapped alone towards the ending
A few more pages and
The world's lost its meaning
now...
.
I've said
too much...
.
Pleadings, readings,
Wishes and hearings
I concern not with what's discovered
But with what's missing
And there's but one,
Out there.
Lost between the lines i thought i covered
...
Somewhere
...
On this side of the end, are they lost
Or by a twist
Are they found in those last few pages I've missed?
I can't say this story has even begun
Until I find what ive waited for
Before it's finished.
