In the depths of your good heart, love holds sway,
You lend a helping hand day after day,
With trust overflowing, you give your all,
But it's your own heart that takes the fall.
When doors close shut, windows open wide,
When darkness descends, the moon will provide,
In storms of life, rain will always pour,
New chapters await, just beyond that closed door.
Material possessions may bring some cheer,
But without love, life is empty and drear,
Friends and kin, a priceless treasure they be,
Bringing joy and meaning, setting hearts free.
Every wrong turn, every stumble and fall,
Was a path leading to your truest call,
The experiences gained along the way,
Shaped the person you are now, come what may.
Your job, a dream for those seeking work,
Your playful child, a longing some outwardly smirk,
Your humble abode, a haven for the homeless,
Your little savings, dreams for debtors in stress.
Our health, a fragile gift we often neglect,
A reminder to cherish, with deep respect,
For what we have today, may disappear tomorrow,
So appreciate the present, it's a time to borrow.
Love demands courage, through both pleasure and pain,
It's a fire that cleanses, a lesson to gain,
Don't shy away, like clams fearing the hurt,
For only through love, a soul can truly unearth.
