Darkness is where reality sits
It dons a mask that never fits
But in the corner is the light from the violet
Causing, in recklessness, a kind of quiet
I sit in the nook with a book in my lap
Thinking of the wires that I need to talk
Tap my foot, crinkle my nose
The thoughts of tomorrow are yet exposed
Lavender clouds of storm are so strong
Mother Nature did nothing wrong
She saw the twinkle in my tears
And let loose a world of fears
But the fears did listen to the storming wind
Now I'm cascading in a blanket of trees
Waiting for the sky to be free
Free of pollution, free from the fire
Don't you dare say I'm a liar
The sky cries for me
But I don't have the kind of energy
To make it shine again
So we cry together
In all kinds of weather
Until the clouds come back again
