*LAW ABOVE EVERYONE*
Law above everyone,
Is what we were made to believe.
Know your right,
Do not be oppressed,
But our minds have been benighted.
Law above everyone,
We never knew they meant us,
The helpless poor ones.
What we were never told,
Is that power is above law.
Who is the law above?
The haggard man who has no hope,
That pays his tax out of the meagre he earns.
Who does the law favor?
The sweaty man under AC with his overflowing agbada and dog's ear cap.
That builds his children future with the sweat of the poor.
If it favors them, the bill is passed into law.
But if it's in the favor of the poor?
The shout of *NAYs*,
Prevent it from becoming law.
