Life has and always will,
forever, go on & on.
never, will it ever slow down
24 hours each day, dawn to dawn.
The sun comes up,
then goes back down.
And this old World,
will spin round & round.
Life doesn't care, doesn't give a shit
we're just tiny insignificant piss ants.
making messes, & throwing fits,
fightin over who wears the pants.
Life rarely pays us attention,
it has it's own role to play,
Life knows, with modern inventions,
People could destroy, each other, some day.
Life cares not, if you've wealth & fame
or the brightest hollywood star.
so what if lights spell out your name,
or engraved on some star boulevard.
Nor of any words that you've written,
been published, and by many, well read.
Life cares, only if, you make a difference,
In this life that you've lived and led?
Seems, balance is ever changing,
see-sawing from left to right.
Same can be said about power,
and their never ending wars to fight.
Many choose to never utter a word.
Free willed but silent, not disruptive.
you realize, your choice, to remain quiet,
adds weight to the side of corruption.
A great legacy, we all strive to leave.
a Memorable Mark on all time.
but, for you, What will yours be?
what'd you do, to better Mankind?
Wait, I'm not speaking from authority,
this all comes from my own, self reflection.
A thought that's rocked me to my core.
Age triggered this sudden retrospection.
Yes, some will laugh, & roll their eyes,
calling me a crazy doomsday prophetic.
I ask you, "what if today was your last?"
"What would be, your legacy, to inherit?"
To leave a mark on the fabric of history,
We must step from the flow of the norm.
Find a way to try, no matter how small,
to better the world in which we were born.
So, On that day, God beckons You Come,
And you spread your Wings To Fly Home,
as loved ones gather, to Celebrate Your Life,
What will Your Legacy, Behold, and be Told?
You must Realize & Truly Accept,
Life Will Always Go On.
Life will show No Mercy,
No Bias, No Favor, For No One.
The Sun will rise,
The Sun will Set,
Earth will keep spinning,
on that you can bet
Life rest assured will continue,
For No One will it slow down.
As It's Done & Will be Done,
Do so......Never Making a Sound.
